PartyPoker Inks Deal with Las Vegas Casinos
PartyPoker hasn’t been available to U.S. players since ate 2006 when the publicly traded company pulled out in the wake of the UIGEA. Now they appear to be on their way back, only not in the way that most online poker players would like.
PartyGaming has apparently signed a deal with at least one, and possibly two, U.S. gaming companies to supply them with poker software once the market is regulated. The companies in question include Boyd Gaming, MGM, Las Vegas Sands and Caesars.
WSOP.fr Gets French Gaming License
Less than a week after the announcement that the WSOP Europe was moving from London, England to Cannes, France comes word that WSOP.fr, the official WSOP site in France, has been awarded a gaming license by French regulator ARJEL.
WSOP.fr is a joint venture between Caesars Interactive Entertainment and Groupe Lucien Barrière. The site, a skin on the Barrierepoker.fr network will offer real money gaming as well as WSOP satellites for events in Cannes and Las Vegas.
Jen Harman Charity Event Going Back to the Dogs
One of the most popular charity poker events of the year is getting closer and closer. The 5th Annual Jennifer Harman Celebrity Poker Tournament is set for May 21 at the Peppermill Resort Casino in Reno, NV.
The event includes a $200 buy-in tournament and the $2,500 buy-in Throw Down. Both tournaments benefit the Nevada SPCA and brings out some of the biggest names in game. Joining Harman and her husband Marco Traniello will be Howard Lederer, Andy Bloch, Daniel Negreanu, Scotty Nguyen, Annie Duke, Lacey Jones and Antonio Esfandiari are all scheduled to attend.
