America’s leading poker magazine, announced today that Phil Ivey is the 2005 Bluff Magazine Poker Player of the Year

Ivey is considered by pros and fans alike as one of the best professional poker players in the world. His unparalleled success at the tables in 2005 has earned him the title of Bluff Magazine’s Player of the Year. His accomplishments include: over $3.4 million in tournament earnings; 7 final tables; a World Series of Poker bracelet in $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha; a top 25 finish in the WSOP Main Event and a win at the 2005 Monte Carlo Millions. Despite all his achievements, Ivey still considers himself a regular guy and can be seen at the Bellagio in Las Vegas playing in some of the biggest cash games in the world.

About Phil Ivey:
Phil Ivey grew up in New Jersey, where he started his pro poker career in Atlantic City. Ivey won his first WSOP title in 2000 at the age of 23 when he beat Phil Helmuth and Amarillo Slim in the Pot-Limit Omaha event.
