An Orbit With: “Kid Poker” Daniel Negreanu
- Paul Oresteen | June 21, 2009
The World Series of Poker isn’t all serious stuff. Here at BluffMagazine.com we’re well aware of the personalities that make this game so interesting and we wanted to find a way to deliver that to you. That’s why we’re bringing you the “An Orbit With” interview series. Nine questions, one to represent each hand played in a single orbit; asked of some of the biggest names in the gme. Look for new Orbits each day.
For this Orbit we caught up with “Kid Poker” himself, Daniel Negreanu.
Would you rather be a better golfer and lose more at poker or be a worse golfer and win more at poker?
I would definitely have to say I would like to be a better golfer.
Are you going to take bracelet bets with Phil Ivey ever again?
We have a lifetime bet, we’ll never kill that bet.
How much money would it take for you to eat a cheeseburger?
Ughh…like $185,000.
What was your first car?
A beat up Honda Prelude, no insurance, no bumper.
Finish this sentence: The 2009 WSOP is…
Exhausting.
Canada has better BLANK than America.
Hockey players.
What was the first CD you bought?
Bob Marley’s Legend.
What’s the weirdest question you’ve been asked this series?
Someone asked, “Can you sign my left knee?”
I couldn’t live in Vegas without…
My swimming pool.
If you could pick one person to beat heads-up for a bracelet, who would it be and why?
I like to play to the best so I would say Phil Ivey. It’s always fun to beat a good player.
