Bodog is hosting more than 50 satellites to the $500 buy-in Bodog Poker Open Main Event between today and Sunday, March 9, at 4:00 p.m. EST, when the series’ championship event kicks off

The inaugural Bodog Poker Open culminates this Sunday, March 9, at 4:00 p.m. EST, with the Bodog Poker Open Main Event ($500 Buy-In No-Limit Hold’em), and with just a few days to go, the rush is on to win a seat to this history making tournament, which will feature $25,000 in additional prize money from Bodog and crown the first-ever Bodog Poker Champion.

Giving online players plenty of chances to earn a seat on the cheap to what is anticipated to be the richest tournament in Bodog history, Bodog Poker is hosting more than 50 different satellites to the BPO Main Event from tonight up until the moment Sunday’s big event gets underway.

Among the satellites being offered are the final two BPO Main Event Semifinals, with each one guaranteeing 20 seats to the BPO Main Event, regardless of how many people enter. One Semifinal is scheduled tonight at 8:35 p.m. EST, with a $44 buy-in, and the final one will be held Friday, March 7, at 8:35 p.m. EST, featuring a $55 buy-in.

On Saturday, March 8, the satellite action really heats up at Bodog as the preliminary events are finished and all focus turns to the series’ championship. Starting early at 6:00 a.m. EST, satellites will be running in the Bodog Poker Room at least every hour all the way up until the Main Event on Sunday. Additionally, starting at 9:00 a.m. EST on Sunday, satellites will be running at least every half hour, with “Last Chance” qualifiers running every 15 minutes as the tournament draws closer.

Buy-ins for the BPO Main Event satellites range from $25 + $2.50 to $100 + $9, and the formats run the gamut from multi-table tournaments to single-table super turbo sit ‘n’ gos.

The biggest poker tournament in Bodog history, the Bodog Poker Open kicked off last Monday, March 3, and so far, the six-event series has drawn many of the biggest names in the online poker world and has paid out $291,750 in cash prizes, including $30,000 of additional money added by Bodog.

Two preliminary events remain–Event No. 4 ($215 buy-in Pot Limit Hold’em,) and Event No. 5 ($160 buy-in Limit Hold’em)–before the series’ championship on Sunday, March 9, at 4:00 p.m. EST. There, the winner will not only walk away with the top prize and be crowned the first ever Bodog Poker Champion, but will also receive an engraved Omega Speedmaster Pro watch worth $4,400.
