Nets vs. Vets Cash Game on PAD this week.

Over the past year NBC’s late night poker show Poker After Dark has introduced new concepts to the show’s themes. Two of the more talked about concepts have been the cash game action, where the normal six-handed winner-take-all tournament is replaced by a $100,000 buy-in cash game, and the nets vs. vets concept, putting some of the best online poker players against some of the biggest names in the game.

This week those two concepts are merged into a single show as three of the top online cash game players will get a chance to test themselves against three veteran cash game pros. Taylor “Green Plastic” Caby, Cole “CTS” South and David “Raptor” Benefield, all resident pros at online training site CardRunners.com will take on Doyle Brunson, Eli Elezra and Gabe Kaplan. Each player will buy into the No Limit Hold’em game with a minimum of $100,000. Blinds will start at $200/$400 but could be raised as the action intensifies.

The average age of the players representing the online set is 22.66 while the average age of the other three is 66 years old. This week’s five episode swill air Monday - Friday night at 2 am on NBC. As usual a special “Director’s Cut” episode will air on Saturday following Saturday Night Live.
