Clonie Gowen Chip Leader After Day 1A at Five Diamond

The Five Diamond World Poker Classic Championship Event played Day 1A yesterday at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas, and Bluff Magazine columnist Clonie Gowen (pictured) ended the day at the top of the pack with over 180,000 chips.

Other players to find themselves on the leader board after yesterday’s action include Freddy Deeb, Kristy Gazes, Carl Olson, Mark Newhouse, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, James “KrazyKanuck” Worth, Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo, Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy, Nenad Medic, Liz Lieu, Joseph Hachem and 2005 WPT Player of the Year Gavin Smith.

Players who weren’t so lucky: John Juanda, Phil Ivey, Sean McCabe, Jennifer Harman, Chad Brown, David Williams, Brad Booth, Sam Farha, Tuan Le, Carlos Mortensen, Patrik Antonius, Phil Hellmuth, Todd Brunson, David Daneshgar, Shannon Shorr, David Singer, Amir Vahedi, Max Pescatori, Gene Todd and Nam Le have all been eliminated.
