The Commerce Casino is undergoing preparation for its 25th Anniversary celebrations, beginning August 1st.

The Commerce Casino opened in 1983 as the largest casino in Southern California with 80,000 square feet of floor space and 500 employees. Since then it has expanded by nearly four times and now boasts the largest poker room in the world and 2,800 employees, 28 of whom have been working on the property since opening day.

Starting Friday Aug. 1, patrons will see 25th Anniversary banners and logo items throughout the casino, special 25th Anniversary $5 chips put into play, and in honor of the anniversary the casino will boost its Saturday night guaranteed jackpots to $25,000 throughout the month.

To cap the commemoration, on Aug. 13th Commerce Casino will host an invitation-only gala which will include entertainment and special recognition of the 28 25-year employees.

“This 25th anniversary allows us to reflect on how our community has changed and how gaming has become an integral part of the landscape in American life,” said Ralph Wong, Chief Administrative Officer. “It’s a great time to look back, look forward and say thanks to everyone who helped us get here.”
