Dream Team Gaming Adds Former WPT Executive Kat Kowal to Staff
- Lance Bradley | February 13, 2009

Dream Team Gaming keeps finding ways to get stronger. The Beverly Hills-based company announced Friday the hiring of Katherine Kowal, known by most in the poker industry as Kat, as Director of Business Development.
Kowal previously spent four years working for World Poker Tour where she was in charge of casino and player relations during the WPT’s most succesful years. Kowal’s experience and strong standing within the poker industry made her an easy hire for Dream Team Gaming as they prepare to host their second Dream Team Poker event.
“Katherine has a proven track record of success everywhere she has been in the gaming and entertainment industry,” said Dream Team Gaming CEO Daniel Delshad. “Her poker and casino acumen will help place Dream Team Poker among the elite gaming authorities in the industry.”
The next Dream Team Poker event is slated to run March 27 - 29, 2009 at Caesars Palace. Kowal’s role with the up-and-coming company will be to seek out new casino partners for the company to work with as they expand their operations. Her connections with some of North America’s premiere gaming destinations and top poker players have her expecting success with the new company.
“Taking this position at Dream Team feels like a natural next step for me,” said Kowal. “My background in casino and player management has made working in this industry rewarding. I hope to boost new player sign ups and help casinos see the unique value of Dream Team Poker’s exciting team-based tournament structure.”
Dream Team Poker tournaments offer a unique scoring system that rewards teams based on how each individual member finishes. Prizes are awarded for both individual and team performance. The next event has a team buy-in of $1,500 for a team of three players. For more information visit www.dreamteampoker.com.
