Erick Lindgren Raises Stakes for Mindy Trinidad Charity Tournament

The poker world is throwing its support behind the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in more ways than one. The Poker Jingle at the Hard Rock tournament will honor the memory of Mindy Trinidad while raising funds and awareness for the L&L Society.

The $230 buy-in tournament is open to the public and thanks to 2008 World Series of Poker Player-of-the-Year Erick Lindgren, the first place finisher will get a seat into the 2009 WSOP Main Event. Lindgren donated the prize to help increase the number of players in this charity event.

Joining Lindgren at the felts that night will be poker pros Phil Hellmuth, Beth Shak, Andy Bloch, Todd Brunson, Jamie Gold, JJ LiuJennifer Harman and Marco Traniello as well as a number of other players.

The tournament is open to the public and starts at 3 PM on Friday, December 12. The final nine players will receive valuable prizes including the $10,000 Main Event seat. Curtis & Co. will also present the final three players with watches. Players will also compete for several bounty prizes and a pearl necklace donated by Tower of Jewels will go to the last remaining female player.
