European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand Final Continues Today
- BLUFF Staff | March 29, 2007
The European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand Final began yesterday and many of the world’s elite players made it through the first flight of day one action.
World Series of Poker Champions Greg Raymer (pictured), Chris Moneymaker and Carlos Mortensen all survived day 1A and will return to the tables on Friday after taking today off while day 1B is being played. Other players to survive day 1A include Josh Arieh, Victor Ramdin, Barry Greenstein, Noah Boeken, Thomas Wahlroos, Mark Vos, Harry Demetriou, Pete Giordano, Carl Olson, Johnny Lodden, Marc Karam, Johan Storakers, Fabrice Soulier, David Colclough and Kevin O’Donnell.
Official numbers have not been announced, but it looks like the EUR 10,000 buy-in event will draw over 700 players and create one of the largest prize pools in poker history.
The tournament continues today at 2 PM local time (8 AM ET), and you can keep an eye on all the action at www.PokerStarsBlog.com.
