A day after making two FTOPS final tables Aditya “Intervention” Agarwal returned to the virtual felt today and leads the field in the prestigious FTOPS XVI Event #25 – $2,000 NL Hold’em Two Day event.  David “Bussa Bus” Baker wasn’t too busy in the ending Day 1 in the top 15 to also finish runner-up in the Pot Limit Omaha Event.

A loaded field of 946 players started Day 1 of the 2 Day $2,000 NL Hold’em event hosted by Team Full Tilt Pro Tom “durrrr” Dwan. Agarwal sits atop the leaderboard closely followed by icudonk; the two sat at the same table for most of the later stages of play today.

The $2,000,000 prize pool will pay nearly $1.5 million to the final table alone, with the winner will earn a $450,000 gold jersey. Play was scheduled for 17 levels today but was extended to midway into the next level in order to hit the money bubble set at 108.

Among those that made the money and returning tomorrow are David “Bussa Buss” Baker 15th, Vivek Rajkumar 28th, Isaac Baron 36th, Peter “Nordberg” Feldman 38th, Markus Lehmann 57th, Tim “Tmay420″ West 61st and recent WSOPC Caesars Palace Main Event winner Andrew “luckychewy” Lichtenberger 104th.

FTOPS Event #26: $100+9 Pot Limit Omaha Rebuy

The $418,200 prize pool fueled by 1,088 rebuying 2,409 times with 685 add-ons created a top prize of $94,000 for haemaelainen who won the robust gold jersey.

Baker came close to winning the jersey but lost when the two saw a one million chip flop of 7 4 6. The K on the turn prompted a 564,000 bet from Baker on the button but the K on the river saw haemaelainen put Baker all-in. Baker called, but mucked, when haemaelainen revealed K 4 A Q for a rivered full house.

phil_ivey41 (not THE Phil Ivey) finished in 3rd place when his Q Q 8 8 lost to haemaelainen’s K K A 8 on the irrelevant board of 7 6 5 J 3.

Baker knocked out David “HeyImDro” Rowna in a heartbreaking hand when they got the money in before the flop. HeyImDro held K K J 8 and flopped a set on the with 9 5 K. But Baker turned the only card that could beat him with the A making trip Aces for him holding A A 8 2. The set over set eliminated Rowan in 4th place.

After rerasing from the big blind guinor had all his chips in the middle preflop holding A K Q T. But Baker outflopped him making a set of 9s with K J 9 3. The 9 9 8 2 6 board never improved guinor and he was done in 5th place.

Rowan only needed his pocket Aces to knock out dsindy whose straight and flush draws never hit holding A Q T 6 on the board of 2 3 J 9 3 and was done in 6th place.

gipsiman started his last hand with Q Q 6 5 but fell to Baker’s flopped two-pair holding T 9 7 5 on a board of 5 T 2 8 A.
