FTOPS XVII: Aaron “Aguskb” Gustavson Rushes to the Jersey
- Jessica Welman | August 8, 2010
One of Full Tilt Poker’s newest Red Pros is online poker regular Melanie Weisner. However, it was a different Weisner who shone in the online poker spotlight, as Melanie’s brother, Andrew “SkillVille” Weisner, took home the biggest Full Tilt Online Poker Series of the day in the $100 rebuy event. Weisner pocketed the only six figure score of the day, worth $110,669.03, after a heads-up chop with “V3kk3d.”
He wasn’t the only player to take home a big payday though. Jason “jdpc27” Wheeler prevailed in the $500 Six-handed Pot Limit Omaha event that included some tough competition at the final table. The Rush No Limit Hold’em event also resulted in a tough final nine that included Matt “All in at 420” Stout and winner Aaron “Aguskb” Gustavson. Gustavson now has an FTOPS gold jersey to go along with his EPT title, not to mention a newly-deposited $80,000 in his FTP account.
While it was Andrew Weisner who took center stage on Saturday, it is Melanie who will get her turn in the limelight, as she will be hosting the $500 Heads-Up event Sunday. Other events on the schedule include a $120 Knockout event hosted by Lacey Jones and a $300 No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $1,250,000 guarantee hosted by Erik Seidel.
