Kling was one of a number of regs who made an FTOPS final table on Tuesday

Another day, another $1 million up for grabs in FTOPS XVII. Tuesday’s trio of tournaments all met their guarantees plus some, resulting in some nice payouts across the three events. The action of the day began with Jason “jdpc27” Wheeler going for his second win of this FTOPS. He picked up his first gold jersey in Event #8 over the weekend and made the final table of Event #17, a $200 HA tournament, on Tuesday. Wheeler would not grab a second win, but he did post a fifth place finish at a tough final table that also included Shannon “BLUFFforRENT” Shorr and Craig “MrsESPN” Gray.

The winner of that even was KILOHAILI, who picked up $46,120.20 in addition to the jersey. The second winner of the day was gettym, who bested the biggest field of the day to nab the victory in the $200 No Limit Hold’em Turbo event that drew 2,329 players. He earned just shy of $95,000 for his efforts.

The $500 Triple Shootout drew a slew of notables, many of whom bested their first two tables to make it through to the final nine. Joe “Cappuccio816” Cappuccio, Lauren “locoenlacabeza” Kling, and Shawn “phat_cat1” Lumen all made the final table, but it was Jeremy “JBurleson” Burleson who walked away with the win and over $76,000.

Wednesday’s FTOPS action will begin with a $200 7-Game event and end with a $300 Six-handed No Limit Hold’em Rebuy event with a $1 million guarantee. The event we’ll be keeping the closest eye on is Event #21 though. The $207 event is both a Super Turbo and a Rush tournament, which means it is entirely possible for this event to be the fastest in FTOPS history.
