Wednesday’s FTOPS action generated both the shortest and the longest events of the online series thus far thanks to a deep-stacked rebuy tournament and a format new to FTOPS, a Rush Super Turbo. By combining the two notoriously speedy formats, Full Tilt Poker created an event that took just one hour and forty-three minutes to see through from start to finish. By the time registration closed after nine minutes and three levels of play, 1,782 players signed up for the event and only 582 were still alive to see the start of Level Four.

Dk4884 was the last man standing in the Rush Super Turbo event, a feat worth almost $76,000. Dk4884 was long gone before crazyjjm won the first FTOPS event of the day, the $200 7-Game event. He prevailed over some tough final table competition that included Steve “superowl99” Jelinek, Dylan “PokerDevl” Horton, and Thayer “THAY3R” Rasmussen.

The marquee event of the day was unquestionably the six-handed rebuy event that generated a prize pool in excess of $1 million. Despite being a short-handed event, the tournament continued well into the morning as some of the top MTTers in the game vied for a spot at the final table. In the end, it came down to a three-way chop between Kyle “KJulius10” Julius, Frank “BLUEberLEEZ” Jordan, and elanor. Julius netted the win and the biggest payout, worth over $159,000, while Jordan and elanor each took home around $145,000.

Thursday’s FTOPS action will include a Heads-Up PLO event in the afternoon, a Stud Hi event in the evening, and the unique Cashout format event in the middle of the day, hosted by Chris Ferguson. It is one of the smaller days on the FTOPS XVII schedule with $450,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs and gives everyone a chance to breathe before kicking it into high gear for the final weekend of series action.
