Ferguson is the second Red Pro to make a final table this FTOPS

Brent “Brobert85” Roberts isn’t the only two-time jersey winner from FTOPS XVII anymore. By the time the final round of heads-up play began in Sunday’s Heads-Up event, railbirds knew there would be a repeat winner as former winners Mark “xqsavs” Radoja faced off against Jared “Smokinokun” Okun for the jersey and the top prize of $89,000. In the end, Radoja bested Okun to pick up his second FTOPS title, while Okun settled for second place and a little over $50,000 in prize money.

The Heads-Up event was one of three tournaments that ran as part of FTOPS XVII yesterday. The action began with a $120 Knockout No Limit Hold’em event that drew an impressive field of 8,861 runners. FM2T claimed the win in the tournament, pocketing $141,776 for his efforts.

The day wrapped up with the biggest FTOPS event if the series thus far; a $300 No Limit Hold’em tournament with a more than $1.4 million prize pool and more than 4,600 entrants. The final table of this tournament featured a name most every poker fan is familiar with, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, but it was andinista who came out on top, getting the biggest payout of a three-way deal at the final table. While andinista netted over $209,000 for the win, Ferguson settled for fifth place, worth nearly $69,000.

The action in FTOPS XVII continues Monday with three more events and more Omaha than you can shake a stick at. The day begins with a $200 Omaha Hi-Lo event, continues with a $300 Rush PLO tournament, and concludes with a $,1000 No Limit Hold’em event with a hefty $1.25 million guarantee.
