Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first duel jersey winner of FTOPS XVII. Though Brent “Broberts85” Roberts became the first player to win his second jersey this series, Mike “chapmoney” Chappus has one-upped him by winning two jerseys in the span of one week. Chappus claimed his first win last Friday when he took down Event #3 and picked up his second win on Thursday night in Event #24, the Cashout event.

The second win makes chapmoney the frontrunner in the FTOPS Player of the Series race with 418 points. That number gives him a comfortable lead over Thayer “THAY3R” Rasmussen, who also made the Cashout final table Thursday night and is sitting with 359 points. Jason “jdpc27” Wheeler rounds out the top three with 357 points. There are now just three days of play remaining in the race for who will win the honors and earn the custom Full Tilt Poker avatar.

The Cashout tournament wasn’t the only event on Thursday’s agenda. There was also a Heads-Up PLO event that was taken down by Shaun “DE KID” Johnston for $40,000, as well as a $200 Stud Hi event won by bugstud for $23,700. All in all, it was one of the smaller days for FTOPS XVII, as all three events featured overlays and only one of the tournaments drew more than 1,000 entrants.

Friday’s FTOPS action should be a little bigger with a Six-handed No Limit Hold’em event, a Razz event, and a Rush Limit Hold’em event hosted by recent jersey winner and Red Pro Brandon Adams.
