The ninth installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series kicks off Wednesday night with a $1 million guaranteed No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $200 + $16 buy-in. FTOPS IX will feature 25 events with the guaranteed prize pools totaling $15 million.

The two highlight events will both culminate on August 17, the final day of FTOPS IX, but start on different days. The largest buy-in event is the first of those two tournaments; a $2,500 + $120 No Limit Hold’em event will play over two days beginning August 16. With a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million the tournament features 30 minute levels and 5,000 starting chips.

The second major event of the Series is the Main Event; a $500 + $35 buy-in tournament with guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million. The Main Event in the previous FTOPS had a field of 4,479 players with “Cheesemonster” earning the win and $410,000.

But the Series won’t be limited to just No Limit Hold’em. Also included on the schedule are Seven-card Stud, Omaha, Omaha 8/better, Fixed Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Hold’em/Omaha, Razz, and H.O.R.S.E. among others. Each event is hosted by a red Full Tilt pro with the two-day event hosted by the Patrik Antonius.
