Golden Nugget and Montell Williams Team Up for Charity Tournament

This Friday night the Golden Nugget and former talk show host Montell Williams are teaming up to host a charity tournament to benefit Williams’ MS Foundation.

Cards, Celibrities and a Cause will be the opening event of The Grand Series, a month long set of tournaments at the Golden Nugget’s new The Grand event center. The buy-in for the event is $1,000 with half of that going to the charity. The other half will generate the prize pool which, should the event sell out at 600 seats, would be $300,000.

The Montel Williams MS Foundation was established to further the scientific study of Multiple Sclerosis. Its goals are to provide financial assistance to select organizations and institutions conducting the most current research on, and continually raising national awareness about, MS.

There are still seats available for this tournament. For more information or to register please call John Colville, poker manager, at 702-386-8164 or e-mail at jcolville@goldennugget.com.
