Layla Kayleigh Out as World Poker Tour Hostess
- BLUFF Staff | May 12, 2008
Poker blog WickedChopsPoker.com first reported the rumor earlier today on their site, and Bluff has been able to confirm it. Layla Kayleigh, who spent one season as the hostess of the World Poker Tour is officially out for the next season. The WPT released a statement to Bluff this evening: “Layla Kayleigh brought great edge, whit, and personality to the World Poker Tour as hostess in season VI, and we sincerely wish her well as she continues to explore her TV career. We are currently casting for the Season VII TV hostess role, and look forward to introducing her to everyone soon.”
The WPT has had trouble finding a consistent replacment for their original hostess Shana Hiatt, who hosted the first three seasons. Hiatt was followed by Courtney Friel in Season IV, Sabina Gadecki in Season V, and lastly Kayleigh in Season VI.
Rumors on message boards are already circulating regarding who will replace Kayleigh in Season VII. The fan favorite seems to be online hostess Kimberly Lansing, who together with Kayleigh provided an injection of life to Season VI.
Bluff will continue to provide updates, and will announce the Season VII replacement as soon as she is introduced.
