Matt Savage Returning as Aruba Poker Classic Tournament Director

The person recognized as the top poker tournament director in the world will be in Aruba this October to oversee UltimateBet’s Aruba Poker Classic.

Matt Savage, who has previously directed the World Series of Poker, the L.A. Poker Classic and his signature event the Bay 101 Shooting Star in San Jose, CA, will run the eight-day event this year. Over the course of his career Savage has developed a reputation amongst professional poker players for being able to deliver a tournament that players want to play in.

“Matt’s natural ability to run a smooth and fair tournament and his talent for making it feel more like a party than a poker room is one of the many reasons why our Aruba  event is still one of the most popular on the annual calendar,” said UltimateBet pro Phil Hellmuth.

This marks the third year that Savage has been at the helm of UltimateBet’s annual event. The online poker site is expecting 500 players from all over the world for the event. Last year Matt Brady beat out a field of 551 to win the title and $1,000,000.

“For the third straight year, Savage Tournaments partners with UltimateBet to deliver one of my favorite tournaments of the year,” added Matt Savage. “In celebrating UB’s 10th Anniversary, I am honored to once again be part of the Aruba Poker Classic; with an extended tournament schedule, plus a group of floor staff and dealers that is second to none, 2009 is shaping up to be one for the ’scrapbook’.”

Satellites are running now on UltimateBet and players can qualify for as little as $0.10. Join UltimateBet now and begin your journey to Aruba now.
