Maxim Names Top 20 Poker Hotties: Rousso and Tilly Included
- Paul Oresteen | March 10, 2010

Vanessa Rousso breaks hearts and bankrolls.
Maxim magazine has released their list of the top 20 Poker Hotties. Many of the Hollywood celebs on the list turned up at the recent WPT Celebrity Invitational, for at least a few minutes. Where most of the list consists of Hollywood starlets whose pictures we don’t mind staring at, some top female players made list like Vanessa Rousso, Shannon Elizabeth and Jennifer Tilly made the list.
Members on the list have been seen on shows like E!’s Hollywood Hold’em and Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown, but have also played charity events and the WSOP Main Event.
Pros Vanessa Rousso and Tiffany Michelle have the most credible poker credentials on the list with more than $2.5 million in career earnings between them. Michelle is best known for her deep run and last woman standing distinction in the 2008 WSOP Main Event. Rousso is perhaps the most accomplished female young gun in poker. She won the EPT Grand Final High Roller’s event in 2009, had a second place finish in the 2009 NBC Heads-Up Championship, and eleven final table appearances in notable events.
BLUFF contributor Jennifer Tilly leads the Hollywood contingent of players with over $400,000 in career earnings and multiple appearances on televised poker shows. You can find all of Tilly’s articles she has written for BLUFF here. Shannon Elizabeth has a well-known love for poker and has played the WSOP Main Event for the last four years. She has a few notable cashes - particularly her third place finish at the 2007 NBC Heads-Up Championship.

Seriously? 20 poker hotties?
There’s 2-3 ‘known’ female poker players here and the rest is just a mix of Hollywood ladies whose poker playing ability isn’t any better of different then the average joe.
To call them “20 poker hotties” is a pretty serious stretch of the imagination.
Yeah this shows maxim’s true disconnect with the actual things they write about… Its more proof they only know what’s selling not what that thing actually is…. There are atleast ten Actual poker players who either play higher than you can imagine or spend more time in the poker world than the average player ever could… Why didnt they start there…
Dude - how can this be drudgery?
Where is Cathy Leibert on this list? At least she can play poker
Where is Erica Schoenberg? Kara Scott? Jennifer “Jennicide” Leigh? Not only are they pretty hot, but they are legitimate poker players. Many of these “poker” hotties probably had their publicist call Maxim to put them on the list. Can you imagine that conversation: “Hey, my client is a hottie in Hollywood and she played in A poker tournament. Can she be on the list?”
