Nine Players Remain at WPT Foxwoods Poker Classic

The fourth day of play at the World Poker Tour’s Foxwoods Poker Classic saw defending champion Raj Patel’s run at a repeat end as the field played down to nine players.

Patel was eliminated in 11th place on the final hand of the night when his K-J ran into the pocket aces of Adam Katz.

Leading the chip count is eight-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Erik Seidel with 2.472 M chips. Not far behind him is Katz with 2.19 M.  They are the only two players above the two million mark in chips.

Two players have stacks above one million including Ted Forrest, with 1.682 M and Andrew Barta with 1.433 M.

Play will begin Tuesday at Noon ET when and the final nine players will play until only six remain. Those six surviving players will return Wednesday for the WPT final table taping.
