Oddsmakers Make Jonathan Duhamel November Nine Favorite

The 2010 November Nine
It seems everybody has an opinion on just who will emerge from the November Nine to claim the title of World Champion and oddsmakers are hoping to cash in on that.

In the hours following  the elimination of Brandon Steven in 10th place online sportsbooks serving both sides of the Atlantic released odds giving poker fans the chance to bet on the outcome of poker’s most prestigous event. Both Betfair.com and BetUS.com have made current chipleader Jonathan Duhamel the favorite. BetUS listed the Canadian as an 11/4 (2.75/1) favorite while Betfair listed Duhamel at 2.8/1.

Duhamel currently holds 65,975,000 of the chips in play. BetUS also lists the odds of first or second place finish with Duhamel listed at 10/11. John Dolan who sits in second until play reconvenes on November 9 is 15/4 (3.75/1) at BetUS and 3.6/1 at Betfair. A top two finish for the highest ranking American pays 27/20 at BetUS.

The player everybody is talking, Michael Mizrachi, is listed at 5/1 at BetUS and 3.8/1 at Betfair. Should Mizrachi manage to get heads-up before losing the Main Event title he would pay 7/4 for a top two result.

For those out there who love longshots then look no further than Jason Senti. With only 7,625,000 - just a bit more than 14 big blinds - Senti would need to produce a miracle comeback to walk out of the Rio with the bracelet. He’s listed at 16/1 at BetUS and an even longer 19/1 at Betfair.
