Oh Canada: Glen Chorny Takes Day 4 European Poker Tour Grand Final

The European Poker Tour attracts players from all over the world but North American players have strong representation in the final ten players in the EPT’s most prestigious tournament.

Leading the way after the conclusion of Day 4 of the PokerStars.com EPT Grand Final is Canadian Glen Chorny who has 3,370,000 chips. He’s a full million ahead of American Isaac Baron (2,365,000) and nearly two million ahead of another American, Michael Martin (1,579,000).

Rounding out the top four is another Canadian player, Maxime Villemure, with 1,220,000.

Joe Hachem was the biggest name to bust out on Wednesday. The 2005 World Series of Poker champ went out in 11th just before play ended for the day. The double bracelet winner earned ¬101,000 ($161,000). Other well known players to find the rail included Freddy Deeb (30th), 2007 WSOP final tablist Raymond Rahme (27th) and Johnny Lodden (17th).

Thursday’s action will begin at 1pm local time and will continue until a champion is crowned.
