The largest guaranteed prize pool in the history of Bodog Poker goes this weekend when they host the $250,000 Guaranteed Sunday at 4 pm ET.

The buy-in is also amongst the largest in Bodog history at $250 + $20 but qualifiers will be running right up until the start of the event starting as low as $1. The tournament replaces the normal $100 + $9 buy-in $100,000 Guaranteed, which normally sees an overlay in the 25% range. To help fill the field the online poker site is hosting a 100-seat guaranteed satellite Saturday at 4pm ET with a buy-in of only $27 + $2, meaning 1 player in ten will win their seat.

This one-time tournament comes only days after Bodog’s public release of their new poker software which offers players a more customizable playing experience. Players can now make the playing window as large, or as small, as they wish all in high resolution and make statistic and chat windows detach from the main page.

But the action on the record-setting tournament isn’t limited to the virtual felt. The sportsbook at Bodog has posted odds on how some of their top players will fare in the tournament.  There are odds for the top ten players from their 2007 leader board and the top ten players on their current leader board available here.
