Fitzpatrick is making a run at 2010 OPOY honors

It was a day of deal making online as most of the major Sunday tournaments resulted in two, three, and in the instance of the Sunday Mulligan on Full Tilt Poker, four-way chops. Spreading the wealth around resulted in five six-figure scores, the largest of which went to pvas2, who claimed $233,943.87 for winning the PokerStars Sunday Million outright. The flagship tournament on PokerStars is usually the tournament that has its prize pool chopped up more often, but this week’s final table elected to play it out to a winner. One of PokerStars’ Team Pros made the final nine of the Million. Johnny Lodden came in fifth, earning over $62,000.

Another player who made a deep run in the million was Jeremy “daisyxoxo” Fitzpatrick. He finished in 18th place in the Sunday Million and that was not even his best showing of the day. The 2009 BLUFF Online Player of the Year also won the UBOC 5 $500,000 GTD on UB Poker. He and Danny “DANNYILLS” Illingworth made a deal heads-up and Fitzpatrick added a little extra cash to his portion of the deal by winning the tournament. He earned $116,710 for his efforts and picked up some OPOY points for this year’s race.

Other notables with big scores online this Sunday include Sunday 500 winner Jonas “Tulkaz” Klausen, Sunday Second Chance winner Matthias “goodvibe1” Neu, and Josh “buttsauce33” Weizer and Matt “mattg1983” Graham, both of whom final tabled the $750,000 Guarantee on Full Tilt Poker.

The UBOC series on UB Poker continues throughout the week, culminating in the $1 million GTD Main Event hosted by Phil Hellmuth on Sunday August 29th.
