The back-to-school season is still a month away, but it certainly felt like summer was over and done with at the online poker tables this Sunday as players stormed back to the virtual felts and made their presence known as all but one major tournament more than met its guarantee.

The PokerStars Sunday Million netted more than $1.6 million in prize money and its outright winner, BarneyR2005, banked nearly $245,000 for his efforts.  The most notable name at the Sunday Million final table had to be Ricky “RonaldKosh” Fohrenbach, who finished in fourth place as Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier and others cheered him on from the rail.

Full Tilt Poker’s flagship $750,000 Guarantee was the only major event to come up short of its guaranteed prize pool, but thanks to a tidy overlay from the online poker room, David “gaucho2121″ Paredes took home a $132,787.50 payday for his outright victory in the event.

While the Sunday Brawl on Full Tilt and PokerStars’ Sunday Warm-Up each ended in heads-up chops, every other tournament played down to an outright victor. Seth “SFisch4″ Fischer prevailed in the Sunday 500 on PokerStars and also made a deep run in the $750,000 Guarantee on Full Tilt.  Joe “JBLAZE20″ Chaplin came up just shy of yet another Sunday Major title when he lost heads-up to Andres “THE MOB RULES” Pereyra at the final table of the UB Poker $200K GTD.

Other notables with big showings on the day included Timothy “highlandfox” Finne and Mike “Gags30″ Gagliano who went one and two in the Brawl and Rodney “BigFlopper01″ Burt, who took the biggest piece of the Sunday Warm-Up prize pool.  Here are all the rest of the players who racked up some nice paydays at the tables this Sunday:
