Online Poker: FTOPS VII Heads-Up Event Goes to “GoToChurch”

Shortly before the seventh installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series began Full Tilt Poker’s management announced the addition of the shootout tournament format to their site’s offering. The new format also allowed the site to begin offering large field heads-up tournaments and that’s exactly what Event #8 of FTOPS was.

A field of 512 players each paid the $535 buy-in to push the prize pool to $256,000 and the first place prize money to $51,200. Coming out on top of a field that included some of the best online poker players was “GoToChurch” who defeated ”Boondy” in the final match to claim victory. Second place paid $29,952.

The best performance by a red Full Tilt pro came from Jon “PearlJammed” Turner who came in 40th who was the only red-named player to cash. The entire event consisted of nine rounds and took just over nine hours to play.
