Online Poker: Highway51 Cruises to Sunday Million Victory

This past Sunday was a day that the regulars shined, as familiar names took down four of the Sunday majors, with a whole crop of notables making final table appearances as well. Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek continued his amazing run with an outright win in Full Tilt Poker’s Sunday Mulligan, besting an incredibly tough final table line-up that included Jamie “LeoEleven” Rosen and Ben “TheStein” Zamani. He pocketed $58,124 for his efforts and picked up even more points in this year’s Online Player of the Year race.

Another player used to excelling in the OPOY rankings is Chris “MoormanI” Moorman, who had an outright victory of his own in Full Tilt’s Sunday Brawl. Moorman earned over $109,000 for defeating the 2,700 player field and added yet another win to his results. Other winners this week included Adam “AKAT11” Katz, who took down UB Poker’s $200K GTD for $47,607.56 and Bryn “BrynKenney” Kenney, who got the smallest piece of a 3-way chop in PokerStars’ Sunday 500, but earned the TLB points and bragging rights that come with a victory.

Kenney had more to contend with than simply tough players though. One of his opponent’s couldn’t resist doing a little trash talking and dropped this gem in the chat box in reference to the much talked about incident between Kenney and Jeff Garza at this year’s PokerStars Carribean Adventure (PCA):

The Sunday Million on PokerStars once again drew a big crowd with 9,687 players and a $1,937,400 prize pool. Highway51 booked the outright victory in the event, which was good enough for $271,241.22. The Full Tilt Poker $750,000 Guarantee ended in a two-way chop between winner –zoopreme- and Chris “brsavage” Savage with each taking home more than $109,000. It was a busy day for Savage, who also made the final table of the UB Poker $200K GTD where he finished in 7th place.
