Another May holiday, another couple of big overlays. Whether it was because Memorial Day plans kept some of the players away or the online rooms set their sights too high, several of yesterday’s big guaranteed prize pool tournaments ended up with an overlay for their participants.

The biggest overlay event was the PokerStars Sunday Million. Its $1.5 million guarantee turned into a $64,600 overlay, helping eventual winner Jesper “KipsterDK” Hougaard pocket a cool $206,834.57 in a three-way deal for the biggest Sunday score this week. This marked the second time Hougaard has won the Sunday Million. Team PokerStars Pro member Andre Akkari came close, eventually finishing in ninth place.

Meanwhile on Full Tilt, the $750,000 Guarantee saw the management kick in $20,800 of its own money to the prize pool. “tophy4life” grabbed the day’s second biggest top prize with a win worth $132,787.50.
