Online Poker: Power Rankings Update
- Jessica Welman | October 21, 2009
With the year starting to draw to a close, several of the players in our BLUFF Power Rankings are the usual suspects in the running for this year’s Online Player of the Year race. While “daisyxoxo“ retains the #1 spot, holding a huge lead over ”inhidonks” and “anfo500“, who are currently ranked #2 and #3, it is a player who recently fell out of the OPOY top ten holding his own at #4. Anthony “D1rtyR1v3r” Nardi’s phenomenal results at the end of 2008 are still paying dividends in the Power Rankings even though his earnings have fallen off a bit the past couple of months. A big August and September for Ryan “ryanbluf” Karp secured his spot in the top five, but he better watch out since the player in the #6 spot is nipping at his heels.
Dan “djk123″ Kelly moved up a couple of spots to #6 thanks to his stellar WCOOP results and he has quickly closed the gap between himself and ryanbluf. He is just 4,000 points away from cracking the top five. Shaundeeb continues to push his way up the Power Rankings as well. Coming in at #9, Deeb’s played in over 350 tournaments over the past four weeks and a victory in Full Tilt’s Friday Night Fight worth $28,704 helped to maintain his spot in the top ten.
Eric “Ericb09″ Blair’s hot streak helped him to move up to the #8 slot and Jeff “ICuRaRook” Sluzinski snuck his way into the top ten despite no major changes in his point totals from a couple of weeks ago.
The current top ten in the Power Rankings is as follows:
1. daisyxoxo – 479k
2. inhidonks – 434k
3. anfo500 – 406k
4. D1rtyR1v3r – 355k
5. ryanbluf – 353k
6. djk123 – 349k
7. Moorman1 – 341k
8. Ericb09 – 337k
9. shaundeeb – 327k
10. ICuRaRook – 321k
