Poker After Dark: Hecklers Week
- Matthew Parvis | January 12, 2008
Another great matchup will highlight Poker After Dark this week. The PAD team assembled 6 of the great trash talkers of the game and pinned them up against one another. Gavin Smith, Phil Hellmuth, Sam Grizzle, Mike Matusow, Shawn Sheikhan and Jean-Robert Bellande will all battle this week for the $120,000 first prize.
Both Phil Hellmuth and Gavin Smith are fresh off of season 3 victories, and will look for a second win this week. Sheikhan is also a Poker After Dark winner and has quite a history with both Hellmuth and Matusow, who he sparred with heavily in the 2005 WSOP Main Event. Speaking of Matusow, he is now the proud owner of the worst record on Poker After Dark, with zero wins on six attempts.
Sam Grizzle and Jean-Robert Bellande both make their first appearance on the show. Bellande is fresh off his appearance on Survivor China, where he was eliminated by his tribe, but still took place in the Survivor Jury. Grizzle is most known for an alleged fight he had with Phil Hellmuth, he can also be seen in the 2003 WSOP coverage once again sparring wth none other than Phil Hellmuth.
The match will begin airing ot 2:05 AM, January 14th, and will continue for five consecutive nights in the same time slot. For more information please visit www.pokerafterdark.com.
