Power Rankings: Mercier Leads as Elky Pushes The Master Out of Top 10

With only one major tournament in the past two weeks the BLUFF Magazine Power Rankings look a lot like they did when we last updated you.
To the suprise of nobody Jason Mercier still leads the way with 1,907.48 points. His last cash came at the World Series of Poker but he still leads current Player of the Year leader Sorel Mizzi by 259.52 points.
Scott Clements and Michael Binger swapped positions at the fifth and sixth spot but the only new face in the top ten is Betrand “Elky” Grospellier who moved from outside the top 15 to tenth overall. Men Nguyen, who won a WSOP bracelet this year, actually dropped in the rankings as some of his points from the 2008 WSOP fell off of his totals. His fall allowed Grospellier to move up. David Paul Steicke, who lost over 125 points from his total, fell all the way from 11th to 23rd.
The Power Rankings formula takes into account the Player of the Year points from the last two calendar years. Points for the past 12 months are awarded 100% value while points from the previous 12 months are given 50% value. View the complete rankings here.
