Clements is currently #4 on our Power Rankings

What a difference a day makes . We updated our BLUFF Player of the Year (POY) rankings just yesterday and we can already tell you that there will be changes in our top ten come next week. Dan Shak is #2 on the rankings, but his in-the-money finish at the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Venetian event will pull him even closer to Harrison Gimbel, who continues to hold on to his top spot. Before we start looking ahead to next week though, let’s take a minute to review the movers and shakers from this week’s tournament action.

Most of the players in the top ten took some time off from the live tournament action this week, but managed to retain their spot on the standings. One good example is Ty Reiman, who sits at #7 on our standings, opted to stay home and take advantage of the crazy online poker action rather than head over to the Venetian or make the trip to LA.

One player who did make the trip to LA is Scott Clements, who is up to #10 on the list this week. He made the final table of the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the Commerce, which was enough to push him up three spots from last week. The other big mover in the top twenty this week is European Poker Tour (EPT) Copenhagen winner Anton Wigg, who is up to #14 this week.

Here are the top twenty in our POY race this week. Don’t get too used to these names, because we’ve got a month’s worth of non-stop poker action that will likely have a whole new crop of faces rising to the top in the coming weeks:

1. Harrison Gimbel – 472.50
2. Daniel Shak – 412.95
3. Tyron Krost – 360.00
