Small Town Poker Tour Pro Am Tournament Takes Place Friday
- BLUFF Staff | July 11, 2007
The Small Town Poker Tour Pro Am will take place Friday July 13, at 12:00 PM at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, in Las Vegas. The tournament will benefit Las Vegas children’s charity, Corps of Compassion.
The Corps of Compassion provides meals to homeless and at-risk children in the Las Vegas area.
The Tournament is open to all poker players both amateur and pro. The seats are very limited and reservations are encouraged. Contact the South Point Poker Room to guarantee a position.
The buy-in for the tournament is $200 + $60. Players will receive $1500 in tournament chips. Optional re-buys are available for $100. The event has a generous prize pool with 75% of buy-ins and re-buys being paid to top ten finishers. The Corps of Compassion will receive the residual 25%. The tournament will be fast paced with blind levels changing every 20 minutes. “We wanted the event to be fun and fast paced and what better way to do it than give a more than fair amount of chips and fast moving blind levels”, stated Mark Fracalossi STPT creator. “We are going to have a good mix of both pro and amateur players. Above all it’s a charity event and the Corps of Compassion’s work is very admirable”, Fracalossi added.
The Small Town Poker Tour travels the world putting on poker events to raise awareness and funds various charities. The STPT has produced events for charities such as, The United Way, Lions Club International, Boy and Girls Clubs and many more. The STPT management team also lends its hand behind the scenes in many charity, corporate and celebrity events.
