Streak 2 Seven: HotSexyBeast Out Front, For Now

It is still early, but the Streak 2 Seven contest seems to be stalling the past few days. The contest, which challenges fans to pick consecutive winners in the WSOP bracelet events, got off to fast start with two players, HotSexyBeast and jewgalo picking three winners in quick succession.

While jewgalo is still starting from scratch after incorrectly predicting Nick Rampone would win the $1,500 Triple Chance No Limit Hold’em event, HotSexyBeast still remains dormant. The current frontrunner hasn’t picked a HORSE since Event 5, while jewgalo has been making selections in every single event.

Even players who only have a streak of one going seem to be choosing selectively, which makes sense considering how many of the No Limit Hold’em events have large fields of 20 or 30 people returning for Day 3 of play. Perhaps the latest $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Shootout or the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship events will see more people go out on a limb and make a pick since they will begin with a more manageable crop of players. The Seven Card Stud begins its third and likely final day of play with 14 runners remaining. Judging by the selections, John Hennigan, who begins the day second in chips behind Steven Landfish, is the hot pick. Despite having nearly 100,000 chips more than Hennigan to start the day, Landfish picked up 14% of Streak 2 Seven selections in the event compared to Hennigan’s 44%.

HotSexyBeast and jewgalo each picked up year-long BLUFF subscriptions for their Streak 2 Seven streaks of three, but the race to the seat in the pokerAGA.com Mediterranian Millions is still wide open. It is never too late to start picking, so be sure to check out our official contest page for the event daily to make your selections.
