Team Bluff Wins Inaugural Dream Team Poker Tournament

The inaugural Dream Team Poker tournament featured a sold-out field, big name poker pros and celebrities and a winning team you should be very familiar with.

Led by Bluff Magazine Publisher Eric Morris‘ 7th place finish and Justin Bonomo’s 8th place finish Team Bluff, which also included Editor-in-Chief Matt Parvis, took home the first place prize of $39,000 and the championship rings valued at $5,000 each.

“We had a blast. Obviously winning the whole thing helps, but the team concept made the tournament a lot more fun and added another element of strategy to it all,” said Morris. “Everything was well run too, so there was no additional stress on the players on either day.”

Dream Team Poker awards points based on each player’s finishing position. Team Bluff was the only team with two members at the final table.

“This tournament was a great accomplishment for Dream Team Gaming, and we are thrilled that the concept was so well-received by participants and onlookers,” said Ed Fishman, one of the top gaming executives in the industry and co-founder of Dream Team Gaming. ”I am excited to see where this will lead us, and I look forward to installing and introducing Dream Team Gaming to the world.”

The two-day event was held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Poker Lounge and given the overall success of this event, future dates are not out of the question.

“Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was very pleased to be a part of the launch of Dream Team Poker,” said Mark Gore, casino general manager of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “Together with the new players that were brought to the property along with the extensive media coverage, the event was a successful relationship.  I believe Dream Team Gaming has found something that truly works, as it benefits the players, casino and everyone else involved.”

“We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the premiere of Dream Team Poker,” said Daniel Delshad, chief executive officer and co-founder of Dream Team Gaming. ”We sold out our premiere, proved the tournament structure and everyone enjoyed the new concept. The Hard Rock Poker Lounge couldn’t have been a more ideal location to host it, and we look forward to sharing the concept with the public and expanding into other markets locally, nationally and internationally.”
