WCOOP: Glucksi203 Defeats Wroblewski For Triple Stud Bracelet

Once again, the WCOOP provided online grinders with a seven-figure prize pool thanks to an inflated version of the PokerStars Super Tuesday. The $1,050 two-day event drew 1,612 runners and generated a $1.6 million prize pool. The field plowed through 24 levels of play before calling it a night. The 93 players returning for Day 2 on Wednesday are already in the money, but they have their eyes on the top payout of over $269,000.
Bonkman currently leads the field with 388,925 chips, but with a stacked field and deep stacks, it is really anyone’s game. Team PokerStars has four Pros left in the field and both Andre Akkari and Joe Cada have big stacks. Here are the top ten headed into Day 2 of play:
1. Bonkman – 388,925
2. birs320 – 379,681
3. Jake “hwtd1” Toole – 312,322
4. Joe “ender555” Ebanks – 310,215
5. 7Be/\C7 – 301,294
6. Machiavillian – 285,115
7. Renato “leguito” Almeida – 2777,254
8. DDBeast – 262,463
9. Torcher – 235,196
10. Andre Akkari – 219,411
Elsewhere around the WCOOP, players who enjoy the less popular card games had a field day with a duel line-up of Five Card Draw and Triple Stud (a mixed game consisting of Stud, Stud Hi/Lo, and Razz). Both events met their respective guarantees with room to spare, resulting in a number of five-figure paydays.
Lg123456789 claimed the Pot Limit Five Card Draw bracelet along with over $22,000. Later, Glucksi203 earned the Triple Stud win after defeating Anna “VietCutie” Wroblewski heads-up for the $29,550 first place prize.
Wednesday’s WCOOP line-up includes Day 2 of the $1,050 event, as well as a $265 PLO Knockout event, an early ante No Limit Hold’em event with a $320 buy-in, and another two-day event, a $215 Heads-Up tournament.
