- Lance Bradley | November 12, 2008 at 6:03 pm
For the second time in his career 23-year-old Jonathan Little is a World Poker Tour champion after winning the Foxwoods Poker Classic early Wednesday morning.
Little, who entered final table play third in chips, defeated Jonathan Jaffe in heads-up play to add this title to his Mirage Poker Showdown win from 2007. Jaffe and Little played heads-up for 170 hands after Charlie Marchese was eliminated in third.
When heads up play began Jaffe had a slight chip lead with 6,630,000 to Little’s 5,715,000. Over the four hours and 52 minutes it took for heads-up play Jaffe saw his stack increase to as high as 10,000,000. The final hand saw Little win a pre-flop all-in with Ac-Qh against the Ah-10d of Jaffe.
