There were approximately 44 players who re-entered into Day 1B of the World Poker Tour’s Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open and the player who is probably most excited that he bought back in is Matt Juttelstad.

After busting on Day 1A, Juttelstad didn’t plan on re-entering.  He had an early interview for a grad school program at Florida Atlantic University in Miami and it was only after he wrapped that up early that he decided to give the event another try.

The second bullet hit a bull’s eye as Juttelstad ended Day 1B with 280,000 chips from the 30,000 chip starting stack and will begin Day 2 with the biggest stack in the room. According to Juttelstad, he was on the right end of several coolers to build his stack over 200,000 late in the day.  He neared the 300,000-chip mark thanks to a big hand against Tony Dunst where Juttelstad three bet an AK2 flop with just five-high, then turned the wheel with the 3.  Juttelstad shipped all-in on the turn and Dunst called with AQ, drawing dead with a pair of aces.

Dunst was one of 106 players in the 170 player Day 1B field to hit the rail over the course of the day.  Joining him on the list of bustouts are Matt Jarvis, Michael Mizrachi, Amnon Filippi, Tommy Vedes, Adam Geyer, Andrew Lichtenberger, Dan O’Brien, and Ebony Kenney.

The total field size for the event came in at 295 players with a prize pool of just over $950,000.  The winner in this event will take home $268,444, which includes a $25,500 seat into the WPT Championship event.  The top 27 finishers will take home a payday of at least $8,629.

There will be 112 players back in action for Day 2 on Sunday a 12pm ET.  Some of the other notables who made it through Day 1B are Keith Ferrera (200,600), Harrison Gimbel (143,200), Christian Harder (114,400), Darryll Fish (113,200), Tristan Wade (96,200), Matt Stout (94,800), Jonathan Little (63,700), Kathy Liebert (18,100), and Ashton Griffin (14,000).
