WPT’s Mirage Poker Showdown Kicks Off “The Long Day”

Players have just settled in for a marathon day two at the Mirage Poker Showdown, the first event of the WPT’s fifth season.

The $10,000 buy-in event attracted 385 players, and 195 survived yesterday’s day one. Today is being dubbed “The Long Day”, as play will continue until only 27 players remain, no matter how long it takes.

There are, as usual, many top pro’s still in contention, including the Bluff - ESPN Power Rankings current leader John Juanda (right), David Williams, Gavin Smith, Huck Seed and Patrik Antonius, all of whom are near the top of the chip count list.

The top 36 places will cash in this event, and the winner’s share will be $1,294,755.

You can catch all the action at Bluff’s Live Tournament Updates.
