WSOP Circuit: Blair Hinkle Earns Ring in Council Bluffs
- Lance Bradley | September 1, 2010

Blair Hinkle now has a WSOP Circuit ring to go alongside his WSOP bracelet.
The newly revamped World Series of Poker Circuit has it’s first champion and rather than the home game heroes who have been populating the events the past couple of years a former WSOP bracelet winner walked away with the championship ring. Blair Hinkle, 24, defeated a final table that included WSOP Circuit cashing machine Dwyte Pilgrim to win $88,566 and 100 championship points.
Hinkle won his bracelet in 2008 only two weeks after his brother Grant Hinkle had accomplished the same feat. Hinkle defeated Shiva Dudani heads-up to win the tournament which attracted a field of 255 players. Along with the ring and the prize money, Hinkle earns automatic entry into the WSOP National Championship event to be held in May 2011 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. You can view the overall leaderboard here.
ESPN poker analyst Bernard Lee just missed making the final table finishing 10th for $6,582. Pilgrim was looking for his second win in as many weeks having taken home the title in a $200 buy-in event earlier. He now has 22 career cashes in WSOP Circuit events.
The next stop on the WSOP Circuit is October 2 – 12 at the Horseshoe in Elizabeth, Indiana.
