WSOP: Fab Five Return for Showdown at $5,000 Shootout (Event 41)

The World Series of Poker $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Shootout (Event 41) entered Day 2 with only 30 players spread across five tables. Every player that returned for Day 2 was in the money with a guaranteed $16,740. Moving on to Day 3 to play for a bracelet are Andrew Lichtenberger, Peter Traply, Maxim Lykov, Danny Wong and Nasr El Nasr. Starting stacks for the final table will be at 900,000, allowing for deep post-flop play.
Many of the big pros fell during Day 2 including; Phil Ivey, David “The Dragon” Pham and Jennifer Harman.
Ivey’s day was a roller coaster ride. The beginning of the end came after his 8

. Then a short-stacked Ivey raised from the big blind after Barny Boatman limped from the small blind. Boatman then moved all-in and Ivey called holding A

El Nasr finally bested Boatman after nearly two hours of heads-up play. After a standard button raise and call, the flop came K

Lykov was the first player to win his table after winning preflop raise war with Lex Veldhuis. Veldhuis opened with a raise, Lykov reraised to 29,000, Veldhuis raised again to 78,000, then Lykove moved all-in and Veldhuis called. Lykov tabled A
